I am a certified postpartum doula, lactation educator counselor, and infant sleep educator serving areas on the San Francisco Bay Area peninsula from Burlingame to Palo Alto. I guide families through the postpartum period and into infancy, helping them to learn about their baby’s needs and rhythms and to develop ways to meet these needs within the context of the whole family.
I started this work a few years ago, after my family and I moved back to California. Although I am a native Californian, I became a parent to both of my boys while living abroad in a coastal community in England. Before focusing on postpartum support, I worked for 8 years at a European Marine Site/Marine Protected Area. I still love to be outside on the coast exploring the rockpools.
In England in 2011, I started working with families by coordinating breastfeeding peer support in my region. In 2018, I received my lactation educator counselor certificate through the UC San Diego Extension program and I completed my postpartum doula certification through DONA International in 2019. I am a trained infant sleep educator and am currently working toward my certification through bebo mia, Inc.
On top of my professional experience, my two boys have both taught me much about life, love, patience and kindness.
I look forward to sharing some of what I’ve learned with you as you begin your journey. Contact me today to learn more about how I can support your family.
